An ultra-modern mansion with a zero carbon footprint is for sale in England

Campion House is one of three sustainable properties included in the Birch Grove boutique complex, and the most expensive among them. The ultra-modern mansion, located on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Chalfont Street in Buckinghamshire, can be purchased for 4.5 million pounds, the equivalent of $5.6 million.

Built from silicon, the home spans over 500 square meters and is designed by Millbank Group. It offers seven bedrooms, an open plan living room with glass sliding walls, a bespoke kitchen with hidden pantry, a dining area and a sitting room. The master bedroom boasts an open atrium with conservatory, as well as a spacious dressing room, sitting area, private terrace and bathroom with free-standing bathtub and rain shower. Some other bedrooms can be adapted into a gym, office or study.

The home’s energy efficient systems include solar panels, mechanical ventilation and heat recovery systems, powerful Mixergy hot water cylinders, zoned underfloor heating and air source heat pumps. Such equipment, according to the developers, reduces the cost of maintaining a home to almost zero.
