Big ring line. How the construction of new metro lines can change Moscow

In 2022 In Moscow, the largest project that has no analogues will be implemented – the launch of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya metro line, 70 kilometers long and with 31 stations. Its appearance is eagerly awaited by many residents. Moscow areas for which there will be a real opportunity to significantly reduce the duration of trips in different directions.

Large-scale construction started in 2011, but the idea of a new metro line was voiced already in the mid-20th century. At that time, the Circle Line was being laid, the launch of which took place in 1950. The project developers initially planned to launch a small ring, which was supposed to correspond to Boulevard. After this, plans changed and in the future Muscovites should have been in for a surprise in the form of a ring starting from ZIL and ending in Lefortovo. But these plans were not destined to come true.

Thanks to the active development of the capital’s metro, new, radially located lines began to appear. This led to the authorities again talking about the urgent need for a new ring so that people could conveniently move from branch to branch. The next project was planned to be implemented by 2035, but as a result, residents of the capital received a new central ring much earlier and will soon have another surprise in the form of the Big Circle Line.

The new project, which has no analogue in the world, will have a length of 70 km. There should be 31 stations along the entire line. Metro users will be given the opportunity to transfer to other metro lines using several transfer options for these purposes:

  • 11 pcs. – railway line;
  • 6 pcs. – “MCD”;
  • 4 things. – “MCC”.

Today, the capital’s transport system is imperfect. Residents of the peripheries, in order to get to different Moscow districts, have to move only towards the central part of the city. In order to then get to your destination, for example, to a neighboring area, you need to use all types of ground transport available in this place, going through the center. The emergence of the Big Circle Line will help solve this problem, as it will significantly expand Moscow’s transport network and reduce people’s travel time by at least half. According to experts, the BCL is capable of serving at least 380 million passengers annually.

North-West section

February 2018 Muscovites remembered the opening of the first section of the BCL, which included five metro stations:

· «Petrovsky Park“;

· «Business center“;

· «CSKA“;

· «Khoroshevskaya“;

· «Shelepikha

At the end of the same year, namely in December, this list was replenished with another station, “Savelovskaya,” which provides for a transfer to the “Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya” line. Comfortable housing is for sale not far from the new metro stations; all offers can be found on

North-Eastern section

In March 2020 A metro section continuing the Nekrasovskaya Line was opened, including the stations: Nizhegorodskaya, Aviamotornaya and Lefortovo. They are planned to be included in the BKL, while the Big Circle Line should include a chord going towards Nekrasovka. It is in this area that they want to launch several more stations (from 2020 to 2022):

· “Electrozavodskaya”;

· “Maryina Roshcha”;

· “Sokolniki”;

· «Riga

Residential complexes are being actively built in the immediate vicinity of this metro line. Those wishing to settle in areas with well-developed infrastructure and convenient transport links can choose suitable options for themselves on the website.

Three sections: Western, Southwestern, Southern

Several decades ago, the Kashirskaya-Varshavskaya-Kakhovskaya section was launched in the south of the capital. From 2021 until 2022 It is planned to open several more metro stations:

· «Zyuzino“;

· “Michurinsky Avenue”;

· “Davydkovo”;

· “Vorontsovskaya”;

· “Aminevskaya”;

· “Innovators”;

· «Vernadsky Avenue

Until the end of 2020 in the west of Moscow the following stations will be opened: “Karamyshevskaya” and “Ulitsa Narodnogo Opolcheniya”, and in 2021. “Kuntsevskaya” and “Mnevniki” will be launched. This section of the metro should run through a village called Terekhovo, located not far from Moscow City. Despite the short distance from the business center, its population leads a rural way of life, using the infrastructure characteristic of the village.

South-East section

Four new stations have already begun to be built between two branches: Kashirskaya and Nizhegorodskaya. With their appearance, local residents and visitors will be provided with better and faster transport accessibility to different areas of the capital. On the South-Eastern section of the metro already in 2022. four new stations are planned. This list has been expanded:

· “Klenov Boulevard”;

· “Textile workers”;

· “Nagatinsky backwater”;

· “Printers”.

Thanks to the emergence of the BCL, it will be much easier for Muscovites and guests of the capital to get to Residential complex “River Park”. At the moment, people have to get to this complex by various means of transport.

In 2022 Seven minutes from this residential complex it is planned to open two new stations “Klenovy Boulevard” and “Nagatinsky Zaton”. Local residents will be able to take the metro without any problems, after passing one stop, to the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya or Zamoskvoretskaya lines. Having covered the path of 7 stations, they will end up in the Kremlin area, and having left the stop earlier, they will find themselves at the Kursky railway station.

When choosing housing, people should focus not only on its level of comfort, square footage and infrastructure. One of the important selection criteria is the convenience of transportation, in particular the presence of a metro station in close proximity to the house. It is she who has a significant impact on the process of formation of real estate prices. People who dream of improving their living conditions should know that the cost of an apartment in a remote area can rise rapidly if there is an official announcement about plans to extend a metro line there.
