Changes in residential property prices in Switzerland last year


In the fourth quarter of 2022, the increase in the residential property price index in Switzerland compared to the previous quarter was 1.2%. Prices for single-family houses increased by 2%, for condominiums by 0.5%. The single-family market segment showed higher prices than in Q3 2022 in all municipalities. The increase in prices for individual houses in rural areas was especially noticeable – 5.5%. For condominiums, prices also increased the most in rural municipalities (+3.8%). The most significant drop was recorded in large cities (-1.1%).

According to the Federal Statistical Office, the average annual inflation for residential real estate in 2022 was 6.4%.
