Demand for property in the Algarve is not just driven by those looking to move

According to figures from the National Institute of Statistics (INE), non-residents accounted for 26% of property purchases in 2022. The impeccable quality of new residential real estate projects is also a huge driver of demand, as these properties can satisfy the requirements of even the most demanding buyers.

For those who appreciate a quieter Algarve, away from the busy tourist spots but with plenty to do and discover, there’s a region that shouldn’t be missed: the Ria Formosa area. The natural park covers an area of approximately 18,000 hectares and extends along 57 km of coastline, from the Ancan Peninsula in the municipality of Loule to Manta Rota in the territory of Vila Real de Santo António.
