During the first six months, the number of overnight stays in Spain increased by 13.5% compared to 2022

Room occupancy increased by 1.3% and amounted to 63.4%. Research from the National Institute of Statistics shows the hotel sector continues to grow, having nearly completed its recovery from the pandemic.

Luxury hotels have lost almost nothing in recent years, showing enviable stability in coastal areas, where they continue to be the preferred holiday destination for a large number of foreign tourists. The increase in the number of tourists from Germany and the UK has led to an increase in the average income in such properties: in June it was 178.1 euros per night, which is higher than last year.
