Home sales to non-EU buyers reach one third of total

Sales to non-EU citizens were up 34% compared to August last year and accounted for 30% of total sales for the month. A drop in sales was recorded only in Limassol – 15%; in the other four largest areas they increased. Paphos recorded the largest number of sales. Sales to citizens of countries that are not members of the European Union reached 3,385 units in the first eight months of 2023. This is 76% more than in the same period last year.

The number of transactions with EU citizens continues to fall. The fall was 16% compared to August 2022, and was recorded in all areas except Larnaca and Nicosia, where they increased by 35% and 22% respectively.
