Housing prices in Spain continue to rise in price


The top spot among the most expensive regions of Spain is still held by the Balearic Islands, where a square meter is estimated at 3,750 euros. Second place remains with the country’s capital, Madrid. The most affordable housing can be found for 1130 euros. Although here prices have increased significantly in recent years.

In the first quarter, secondary real estate in Spain rose in price by 2.9% quarterly and by 7.3% year-on-year. The most significant growth was recorded in Murcia – 4.6%. The top 3 also included Andalusia and Valencia with rates of 4.2 and 3.8%, respectively. The smallest increases were observed in Asturias, Castile-la-Mancha and Euskadi (in the region of 0.6-0.8%).
