In Portugal, areas with the most affordable housing prices have been identified


According to a study by Idealista, in 11 municipalities in Portugal, buying a house per square meter costs less than 500 euros. Gaviao and Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo are recognized as the cheapest locations. When buying a house in Gavian in the Portalegre area, they usually ask for about 401 euros per square meter, while in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo in Guarda the cost is estimated to average 404 euros at the end of June 2023.

In 23 municipalities, the cost per square meter varies from 500 to 575 euros. The five most expensive districts in the country for purchasing a home are: Lisbon (5,351 euros per sq. m.), Grandola (4,706 euros), Cascais (4,627 euros), Oeiras (3,967 euros) and Loule (3,842 euros).
