March 2023 was marked by a serious increase in the number of real estate transactions


According to the Cyprus Department of Lands and Geodesy, last month entered the top 2 for the number of real estate transactions since 2000. A total of 1,352 purchase and sale agreements were recorded in March. The figures exceeded the 2022 figures by 23%. The largest number of transactions was recorded only in the record year of 2007, when it amounted to 1930 units.

The largest increase in the number of transactions (in percentage terms) was noted in Paphos, Larnaca leads in the number of transactions (507). Limassol also entered the top 3. But in Nicosia, sales fell by 17% compared to March 2022.

Sales for the first quarter of 2023 reached 3,574 units. The growth was 19% compared to the first quarter of 2022.
