From November 1, an online register of real estate properties should begin operating in Greece, which will allow all market participants to conduct transactions faster. It will be possible to register without the involvement of municipal authorities, tax services and other authorities responsible for documentation.
At the moment, electronic transfer of property will only affect regions where a complete register already exists. Notaries will begin to master the service first, providing their special tax numbers and numbers of the parties to the transaction. According to the procedure, the seller first registers on the platform and then the buyer authorizes the transaction, allowing the notary to collect documents on his behalf.
